In this new photographic series (16″ x 24″) , I have scanned and printed the edges of found Magic Lantern Slides of American landscapes from the turn of the century. Oxidation and mold have caused the edges of these slides to unintentionally decay, and this created a curious affect on the slide where the corrosion looks like a landscape in itself, and the photographic images are fading. Symbolic of a fading memory of a place or of how many landscapes that were once serene are today toxic wastelands.
